DIY Outdoor Retreat — Sunset

Those of you fortunate enough to have some outdoor space in the city know that some "backyards" still leave much to be desired. This DIY cabana is a great way to turn a city yard of concrete surrounded by buildings into your own urban oasis perfect for sipping cocktails with friends on a Sunday afternoon. This cabana will cost about $300 for the pipe and fabric, require two people to assemble and about two days to finish (mostly due to the drying time of the paint), but in the end you'll have the perfect backyard hangout. Too bad it won't muffle out the sounds of the city, but with good friends and good cocktails those will probably be easy to ignore.
