Adios, Winter. Here’s your coat, it’s time for you to skedaddle. Oh, and don’t forget to take the snow shovel and tire chains. It’s nothing personal, it’s just that Spring is coming over for awhile, and we don’t really have room for more than one season at a time. In a few short weeks, the icicles will start to melt and Spring will rush in with the fierceness of a lion, as the old saying goes. The gloomy-gray skies of Winter will finally dissipate, and the world will be cheerful again. I don’t know about you, but when it’s cold and gray out, like it has been so often this winter, I start to feel like Jane Eyre wandering the moors. Gray winters are so unforgiving and seemingly endless. It gets depressing after a time. And while there is certainly a unique beauty in the melancholy atmosphere, it can be hard to believe that things will ever brighten up.
